Wendi Jane Stringer

December 22, 1973 — June 22, 2025

Cedar Park, Texas

Wendi Jane Stringer, 51, of Cedar Park, Texas, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loved ones on Sunday, June 22, 2025.

She was born on December 22, 1973, to William James Sisk III and Carolyn Jane

Kunkel in Clifton, Texas. Wendi is now reunited with her parents and friends. But most importantly, her husband, Jud Stringer. She is survived by her children Karoline, Madalin, and Rhett Stringer. As well as, her brother, William “James” Sisk IV.

While Wendi took tremendous care of her family, day in and day out, her generocity touched many families and friends in the community. She stayed up late filling coolers full of water balloons to make sure every kid had a ballon to throw. She would go out of her way to feed the whole team, not just a couple kids. Bouncing from school to school, making sure every kid had what they needed, not just her own. Everyone knew where to find Wendi. The yellow hummer spent more time in a school parking lot than it did on the road. She spent nearly 25 years volunteering in Leander ISD, where the students and facility felt the impact everyday. Her laugh echoing through the hallways will be missed.

Wendi loved to travel. Once she got over her fear of flying, family vacations were scheduled at least once a year. Every Thanksgiving you would find the family in a cabin hidden in the Smokey’s. Wendi and Jud would drink coffee and watch the sunrise over the peaks from the porch, while the kids started the day with a good ol’ pool tournament. Them only leaving the mountain side to pay a visit to Dollywood or maybe stalk up on some local goods in town like seasoning and Moonshine; what more do you need!

If Christmas were a person, it would be Wendi. She single handedly made sure the Christmas spirit never died. Whether you were 3 or 83, you could feel the spirit. She was the modern day Mrs. Clause, showing up with belles aringing. The idea of someone not having a Christmas made her sick. Every year she would clean off the angel giving trees and adopt families from all over the country just so they had something to open on Christmas morning. With Wendi’s mind and openheartedness, trees were never bare during the giving season.

Wendi was the life of the party; always bringing the light and fun. She was the type of person who turned the music up, not down. From barbecue cookouts and splash day to football games and birthday parties. She would be the one to show up and show out! Always making sure everything was taken care of. Wendi was a trickster and had no filter. She told you like it was no matter who you were. Wendi had her unique ways of letting you know just how much she loved you.

“Will you do me a small favor? Don’t forget to grow up and live happily ever after. Oh! And stay as sweet as honey forever!” - Winnie The Pooh
