Roger S. Rodriquez

June 27, 1963 — October 14, 2025

Ballinger, Texas

Roger S. Rodriquez, 62, of Ballinger, Texas, formerly of Abilene, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at his residence in Ballinger, Texas.

He was born on June 26, 1963, to Andrea Conception Rodriquez and Sebero Zapata Rodriquez. Roger had been an employee of Walmart in Abilene, Texas, for over 28 years until his health began to decline. He enjoyed spending time watching football, but above all, he was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan. They were his favorite team. There was never a dull moment if you watched football with Roger.

Although he fought like a warrior during his illness, he never slowed down. He did not let his illness hold him back from the things he loved. Roger enjoyed many activities, such as swimming, spending time with his friends and family, and traveling to see his beloved cousins, Delia, Dora, Gloria, and Raymond, as well as his aunts and uncles.

During his last two months, he still drove down to visit his favorite cousins, to share laughter, stories, and he lived life to the fullest. Roger was a true hero! He never let his illness knock him down or stop him from doing the things that he loved. He will be missed deeply.

He is preceded in death by his parents Andrea Conception Rodriquez and Sebero Zapata Rodriquez.

Roger is survived by his brothers: David Rodriguez of Ballinger, Daniel Rodriquez of San Angelo, Jesse Rodriquez (Maria) of San Angelo, Danny Rodriquez of Chicago, Illinois, Alex Rodriquez of San Angelo and his sisters: Sylvia Salazar (Joe) of Ballinger and Linda Rodriquez of Ballinger.

Roger is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many friends.
