Robert "Bob" Henry Hartman

Robert “Bob” Henry Hartman, 83, of Ballinger, Texas, passed away on June 15, 2026.

Robert was born on January 2, 1943, in San Angelo, Texas, to Roy Hartman Sr. and Bonnie Ruth (Powell) Hartman. He dedicated many years of his life to law enforcement, serving as a deputy sheriff in Brady, Sonora, and Ozona, Texas. Robert truly loved his work and took great pride in serving his community. After many years of service, he retired in Ballinger, Texas.

A true cowboy at heart, Robert had a lifelong love for horses, especially paint horses. He enjoyed the western way of life and the simple pleasures that came with it.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Hartman Sr. and Bonnie Ruth (Powell) Hartman.

He is survived by his daughter, Alaina Blend and husband Neil; his son, Clayton Halfmann; and his brother, Roy Hartman and wife Donna. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Melody Thomas and Paxton Halfmann; his great-granddaughter, Charlotte Thomas; as well as a niece and nephew.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Ballinger, Texas. Interment will follow at Johnson’s Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens in San Angelo, Texas.

Robert will be remembered for his dedication to law enforcement, his love of the western way of life, and the lasting impact he made on the lives of those who knew him. His memory will forever be cherished by his family and friends.
