Richard “Dick” Baylis Ingle passed peacefully Sunday, January 8, 2023, in San Angelo, Texas at the age of 79. Richard was born May 28, 1943, in Ballinger, Texas, the youngest child and only son of Joseph Earl Ingle and Sammie Maurine Richardson.
At the age of 4, he moved with his family to Boerne, Texas where the family lived until 1966 when Earl, Sammie, and Dick decided to return to the Ballinger area. Richard worked various jobs in and around Ballinger most of his life.
Richard was predeceased by his father Earl Ingle at the age of 72 on February 16, 1983; his mother Sammie at the age of 80 on July 9, 1995. Sisters: Dorothy Mae Ingle Hemby wife of David Hemby died August 2, 2003; Mary Ellen Ingle Green, wife of Johnny Green died August 27, 2014; and Tommy Jo Ingle Goodall wife of Jimmy Goodall died May 22, 2002. Nephews: Thomas Arthur Whetstone died August 13, 2003, and his brother Timothy Dwayne Whetstone died August 24, 1991. Richard was also predeceased by a very special person in his life, Addie Beatrice (Bea) Neas on September 25, 2010.
Richard is survived by nieces and nephews: Maurine (Hemby) Maloy of Boerne, Tx; Phyllis (Hemby) Coldewey of La Vernia, Tx; Charles “Chuck” David Hemby, Jr. of Stockdale, Tx; John R. Green, III of Cleburne, Tx; Alisa (Green) Simpkins of Grand Prairie, Tx; Tammie (Whetstone) Dabbs of San Antonio, Tx and Terry Whetstone of Rockport, Tx.
