Norma Jean Teagarden Boone, 95, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 5, 2025.
She was born to Joe Teagarden and wife Hazel Lee Baker Teagarden on August 27, 1929, in San Angelo, Texas. She went to grade school at Fort Concho, and then graduated from San Angelo Central High School in 1947, where she took Glee club for 3 years, was Social Chairman of D.E. Club, and was Captain in the Civil Air Patrol Corps. While growing up in high school, she was an usher at the Texas Theater. She retired from Ethicon in San Angelo to marry Charlie W. Boone.
This marriage took them to Jackboro, Texas, and after 31 years, they moved back to San Angelo and found their beautiful townhouse in Village East Retirement Center and made many, many wonderful friends.

Growing up there was always music in their home and that was a beautiful way to live by.
Norma Jean was a charter member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and after moving back to San Angelo, Norma Jean and Charlie joined her home church once more and felt at home.
She is preceded in death by her soul mate and husband Charlie Boone, her parents Joe and Hazel Teagarden, her dearly loved son Michael Harris, the father of her children James D. Harris, her two sisters Mildred Scholsser and Peggy Jo Teagarden Watson, and her three brothers Fred, Pete, and Jelly Teagarden.
She is survived by her wonderful daughter and best friend, Brenda Sue Holubec, and husband Edward of Rowena, Texas, one-of-a-kind granddaughter Tabitha Jean Sadowski and husband Geoffrey of San Antonio, Texas, and one special niece, Katy Lemmons of Grape Creek, Texas, and other nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for Norma will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at 11:30 am, at Miles Cemetery in Miles, Texas with Tim Teagarden and Pastor Marty Akins officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Meals for the Elderly, 310 Houston Harte Fwy S., San Angelo, TX 76903 in Norma’s name.
