Matthew Stephen Guzman

Matthew Stephen Guzman, lovingly known as "Matty" by his family, 29, of San Angelo, Texas, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, September 4, 2023

He was born on September 23, 1993, to his loving parents Leon and Julie Guzman. Eight years later they welcomed his little sister Michaela. Nothing meant more to Matt than his family. Matt loved fostering animals with his family, this is how he got his best friend, his dog, Violet. Matt’s Mimi, Margie, taught him how to sew and he loved making Violet handmade toys to go in her bed, even changing them with the seasons. Matt also loved playing video games where he spent his time with his second family. There wasn't a room his beautiful personality couldn't light up.

Matt is preceded in death by his father Leon Guzman, Grandparents, Dottie Carroll Routh and Mike Carroll, and great-grandparents, Margie and Harold Routh.

He is survived by his mother Julie Carroll Guzman, Sister Michaela Guzman, and grandfather Steve Routh of Ballinger.

The family will be having a private service.
