Lisa Marie Williams, 61, of Ballinger, Texas, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving husband, Tony, and their precious friend, Lindra Riordan, at Ballinger Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Lisa was born on October 17, 1963, in Freeport, Texas, to Roy Chester Neel and Audrey Lambright Neel. At just 14 years old, she met the love of her life, Tony Williams. Not long after turning 16, the two were married, on June 2, 1980, in Dallas, Texas, beginning a remarkable journey of love and devotion that lasted over 45 years.
At the age of 11, Lisa began working with the public by waitressing at the Waffle House, where her mother managed, within the DFW area. Lisa enjoyed all of her occupations, over the years. Other positions she held, included working at the gate at a wildlife park, inventory auditing for a food trucking corporation, processing mortgages for new homeowners, and her last position was cashiering at WalMart in Ballinger. Wherever her paths may have led her, over the years, Lisa was guaranteed to make lifelong friends.
Throughout their life together, Lisa and Tony shared countless adventures—traveling across the continental U.S., Canada, and Mexico for Tony’s work. Wherever they went, Lisa soaked in the experiences—visiting museums, zoos, parks, and anywhere else that caught her interest. She didn’t care where they were, so long as they were together.
Lisa and Tony loved riding their Harley on adventures, all over the country, along with special friends, Bobbie and Jason Ferguson. Lisa was quick-to-mention that Bobbie was her first best friend and favorite waitress in Ballinger. The two shared countless lunches and conversations at Main Street Fountain and Grill. Catfish Friday was Lisa and Tony's favorite meal of the week, but anything from Misty and Dave Ueckert's kitchen, co-owners of the beloved café, was always loved!
Lisa was a guardian angel on Earth—radiating kindness, compassion, and a deep, abiding love for people and animals, alike. Her generosity extended to everyone she met, including the homeless and those in need. With sparkling green eyes, an infectious laugh, and a smile that could light up any room, Lisa had a way of making people feel seen and loved. Whether you ran into her at Walmart or counted yourself lucky to be part of her inner circle, to know Lisa was to love her.
Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Audrey Neel; her brother, Kenneth Hendricks; her sister, Debra Ann Guthrie; and one best friend, Lorrie Van Cleve to whom she still left a voicemail for each year to wish her a Happy Birthday.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 45 years, Tony Williams; her sister, Kay Bradford; her brother, Gary Neel; her half-brother, Gayland Neel; her sisters-in-law, Lisa Sorrells and Tricia Sutton; her nieces, Brandy and Roxie Rodriguez; and her nephew, Chris Hendricks.
Lisa's fur babies are already missing their Mama so very much! Sweet Dogs- Bones and Peanut who met Lisa at the rainbow bridge, and Ringo, Sadie, Chickie Baby, Tiny, Dixie and Sammy will miss cuddling with their Mama, as well as Stevie the cat, and Samuel Cotton and Lucky Boy, who are definitely following their Mama in Heaven.
She is also deeply mourned by her best friends, Gina Kohler of Georgetown; Bobbie Ferguson of Valera; and Lindra Riordan, Dorothy Smith and Teri Albert, all of Ballinger.
The family would like to mention the following Honorary Pallbearers for their influence on Lisa's life:

The Williams' Family would like to send heartfelt thanksgiving to Dr. Raj Cheruku, Hematologist, as well as to his precious and loving team; to the entire huge-hearted team of caregivers and providers at Ballinger Healthcare and Rehab Center; to the team of amazing nurses, aides and staff at Hospice of Ballinger; to Dr. Karen Rightmire; and to Lisa's devoted and loving personal caregiver, Dorothy Smith of Ballinger. Miss Dorothy, your tireless 3-year dedication to Lisa will never be forgotten. You came and by far, over-exceeded any expectations we might have had for you. You loved and prayed for Lisa each and every day, and were such a blessing in her life.
We cannot thank her faithful prayer warriors enough for each and every prayer and positive thought lifted for Lisa, from the cancer diagnosis to the very end of her brave and hard fight, you are loved and remembered. Lisa's relentless faith in God gave her strength, throughout her life, and gave her the ability to fight the cancer and it's effects for over 5 years. Rightly so, one of her life verses was Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." We understand that Paul's letter to the Philippians is that we can find contentment and strength to endure any circumstance, whether positive or negative, through our relationship with Christ.
Thank you, Lisa, our forever angel, for blessing each of our lives with yours. We will never be the same, again.
