Leon Bernard Beimer, beloved husband, father, and papa, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2023.
He was born on June 21, 1944, in Rowena, TX, to Walter and Cordula (Moeller) Beimer. On September 7, 1968, he married Adonna Wilde and together they shared 55 years of marriage.
Leon is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Daniel Beimer, and nephew, Howard Beimer, Jr.
He is survived by his wife Adonna; daughter, Reneé Hatler and husband Jim; son, Eric and wife Caryl Beimer; grandchildren, Mason Beimer, Abbey Hatler, and Chayse Beimer; brothers Glen Beimer, Howard Beimer and wife Denise; sister-in-law, Martha Beimer; and several nieces and nephews.
Leon graduated from St. Joseph’s Catholic School in 1962. He was a skilled cabinet maker, known for his meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail. He was a proud member of the National Guard for many years. Beyond his work, Leon's greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, and a proud and caring father and papa.
A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, November 6, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Rowena. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Rowena with Fr. Ariel Lagunilla celebrating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Anthony Beimer, Travis Beimer, Melanie Beimer, Natasha Beimer, Shawn Wade, and Seth Beimer. Honorary pallbearers include Roy Rollwitz, Fred Wilde, Howard Schniers, Maurice Schniers, and Mitchell Rollwitz.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Joseph cemetery fund or the Rowena Volunteer Fire Department in Leon’s honor.
