Lee Edd Wommack, 86, of Bronte, Texas, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2026.

He was born on March 26, 1940, to Lee Edmond and Noreen (Hooper) Wommack in Graham, Texas. In 1962 he married the love of his life, Janet Eddleman, in a ceremony in Gruver, Texas. Lee worked as a plant operator for over 20 years at El Paso Products and 10 years at Amarada Hess. Lee and Janet moved to Bronte in 1994, where together they attended First Baptist Church followed by Central Baptist Church. Lee also worked as an Ambulance Service Driver for East Coke County and was on the board and auxiliary for Bronte Health and Rehab. During retirement, Lee enjoyed fishing and hunting as well as caring for his various livestock at “The Playground”.

Lee is preceded in death by his parents Lee and Noreen Wommack and younger brother Malcom Wommack.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Janet Eddleman Wommack, daughter LeAnn Rothermel and husband Ryan of Ft. Worth, son Jim Wommack and wife Carman of Big Spring, granddaughters Jordan and Carter Wommack, Anna and Ada Rothermel, and great-granddaughter Magnolia Rothermel.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bronte Heath and Rehab Auxiliary in Lee’s name.
