Laura Vivian Latham, 82, of Ballinger, Texas, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2026. She was born September 10, 1943, in Kingman, Arizona, to Albert and Mary (Green) Latham.
Vivian was always smiling and was known by many as “the life of the party.” She loved beadwork, had remarkable patience, and brought joy to those around her. Earlier in her life, she worked for Fred Harvey at the Grand Canyon. She cherished her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Albert and Mary Latham, Twin brother Gene, sister Brenda (Sid), Nephew William Latham and Bother in law James Stump II(Kathy)
Vivian is survived by her daughter, Charmarie Swinford (John); her grandchildren, Charli, Garet, and Taner Swinford; and her great-granddaughter, Aspyn Faulkner. She is also survived by her sister Verna Lee Latham (Gene); brother, Mac Latham (Bonnie); nephews, AJ Latham (Natalie), Jon Latham (Carey); brother, Sid Latham; nieces, Susan (Ronnie) Wood, Shanin Shelton (Eric); sister, Kathy Stump; nephews, Jimmy Stump (Stevi), Alvin Stump (Candice) and niece Lisa Southway. 15 Great nieces and nephews and 1 Great, great nephew.
The family wishes to thank the nurses at Central Texas Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in the memory care wing in Ballinger, Texas, for their loving care of Vivian.
In honoring Vivian’s wishes, there will be no services held. The family asks that you celebrate her life in your own way and perhaps raise a beer and celebrate her life.
