Juan Ortiz

Ramiro “Juan” Ortiz, 49, of Winters passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at his residence.

He was born February 13, 1969 to Domingo and Aurora (Rodriguez) Ortiz.  Juan was the owner and operator of Ortiz Burrito Joint in Winters.  He married Crystal Sanchez on May 29, 1999 in Winters and they shared twenty-five years together.

Juan is preceded in death by his son, Juanito Reyna; his parents; and two brothers, Daniel and Ricky Ortiz.

He is survived by his wife, Crystal of Winters; his children, Ramiro Ortiz and wife, Victoria of Hawaii, Anthony Ortiz and wife, Krissy, Edmund Ortiz, Marisol Ortiz and husband, Garrett, and Chencha Ortiz, all of Winters; siblings, Mary Silva and husband, Andres of Abilene, Mingo Ortiz and wife, Sylvia, Frank Ortiz, Raymond Ortiz and wife, Millie, Dora Martinez and husband, Danny, Maggie Walker and husband, Mack, and Oscar Ortiz, all of Winters; and eleven grandchildren.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00-7:00 pm on Friday at Lange Funeral Home.  Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Winters.  Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
