James William Taylor

James “Bill” William Taylor, 67, of Paint Rock passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019 at his residence.

He was born March 4, 1951 to William and Martha (Hicks) Taylor in Houston, Texas.  Bill honorably served his country in the United States Navy.  He married Avis George on December 21, 1972 in Houston.  Bill was a welder, by trade, predominantly working in the oil and gas industry.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Bill is survived by his wife, Avis of Paint Rock; his sons, Jeremy Taylor and wife, Sharla of Houston, James Taylor and wife, Jill of Deer Park, and Josh Taylor and wife, Meghan of Cypress; his grandchildren, Jared, Ryleigh, Stella, Madysen, and Jameson; his sisters, Anne White and husband, Kenny of Ballinger and Bobbie Conley and husband, Doug of Paint Rock.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 7:00-8:00 pm on Monday at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger.  A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday at the Concho Cemetery in Paint Rock.
