Ballinger, Texas

Hazel Leigh Flores-Arensdorf, 2, of Ballinger, Texas, passed away on May 28, 2026.

Hazel was born on December 5, 2023, in San Angelo, Texas, to Mackensie Arensdorf and Shane Flores. Though her time on earth was brief, the love she gave and the joy she brought into the lives of her family will last forever. In just two short years, Hazel filled countless hearts with laughter, happiness, and a love that cannot be measured by time.

Hazel was a sweet little girl who loved all things pink. She loved being outdoors, where every flower, bug, and adventure seemed to spark her curiosity. She especially loved carrying around and loving on her baby sister. Hazel was just beginning to learn how to fish.

To know Hazel was to love her. Her bright smile could light up a room, and her laughter was a precious gift to everyone around her. She taught those around her the beauty of unconditional love, the value of a simple hug, and the joy that can be found in life's smallest moments.

Hazel was preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Melody Noga, and her second cousin, Maranda Nelson.

She is survived by her parents, Mackensie Arensdorf and Shane Flores; her siblings, Princetin Flores-Arensdorf, Tatum Flores-Arensdorf, Lillyahnna Flores, Meagan Flores, and Lilith Flores; her grandparents, Angela Selken, Richard Arensdorf, Sr., Terry Shane Flores, Sr., and Jennifer Flores; her great-grandparents, Timothy Kelly, Darlene Kelly, Jesse Flores, Sr., Elaine McDaniel, Ray Henry, and Mary Owens; and many other family members and friends whose lives were forever touched by her love, warmth, and presence.

The loss of a child leaves a wound that words can never fully heal. Those who loved Hazel find comfort in knowing that her life, though brief, was filled with love from beginning to end. Her memory will continue to live on in every pink sunset, every quiet moment by the water, every family gathering, and every cherished story shared about the sweet little girl who brought so much happiness into the world.

A graveside service honoring Hazel's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Evergreen Cemetery with Marty Akins officiating.
