Dianna Raye Jennings, age 83, of San Angelo, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2025, surrounded by her beloved family.
Born on October 25, 1941, in Kilgore, Texas, Dianna was the only daughter of Paul Everett and Goldie Lipscomb. She graduated from Norton High School in 1960 and went on to graduate from cosmetology school after that. On May 21, 1960, she married the love of her life, Jimmie Neil Jennings, in a heartfelt ceremony at Norton Baptist Church. Together, they built a life centered around love, family, and unwavering devotion. Dianna and Jim were big travelers in their retirement years. They were often adventuring around the country in their RV, spending time in Ruidoso, Branson, Canyon Lake, and many other places.
A proud homemaker, Dianna, also known as wife, Mom, Granny, and Meme, poured her heart into raising her daughters and caring for those she loved. She was a strong woman — sometimes a little stubborn, always feisty, and forever beautiful in spirit and heart. She continually added beauty to the world around her through hair styling and through the many craft projects she enjoyed. Not only could you find her grandkids sitting on her famous kitchen stool getting a haircut, but she took the time to sew homemade Christmas stockings by hand for each one prior to their first Christmas. She was drawn to everything bright and colorful which was evident by her many puffy paint shirts and her adorable collection of beanie babies. Her love knew no bounds, and she will be remembered for the warmth and wisdom she shared.
Dianna is preceded in death by her loving husband Jimmie Neil Jennings, her parents, Paul and Goldie Everett, and her brothers Cotton, Kenneth, and Sunny.
She is survived by her three daughters: DeeDee Kimbro and her husband, Billy, of Mertzon, Texas; Delin Jones and her husband, Bryan, of Cleburne, Texas; and Dinene Rusler and her husband, Waylan, of Springtown, Texas. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Shyra, Kirsten, Quinton, Adriana, Jordan, Dakota, and Ashlee, as well as fourteen great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life.
A memorial service celebrating Dianna’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on September 6, 2025, in the chapel at Lange Funeral Home.
Dianna’s family would like to thank the staff at Sagecrest Care Center for their service and their kindness over the last three years.
