Daniel Aaron Chandler

Daniel Aaron Chandler, 41, of Winters, Texas passed away on Monday, June 28, 2021.

He was born on July 16, 1979, in San Antonio, Texas. Dan grew up in many states across the US due to his dad’s job. He graduated from High School in Katy, TX.  He served in the United States Armed Services in the Navy and held an Associate’s Degree from Trinidad State Junior College.  He worked as a Certified Gunsmith and was a member of the NRA.  Dan was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Wilmeth.  He was currently working as a gunsmith and as a relief driver for the Rural Postal Delivery.  Dan had a magnetic personality and people were instantly drawn to him.  He loved anything that had to do with shooting firearms, fancied himself as a world-class chef, and adored children.  He was also very talented in playing the piano by ear.  Above all, nothing mattered more to Dan than wanting to be loved and helping others.

Dan is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ralph and Geraldine Chandler and Charles and Dorothy Riesen.  He is also preceded in death by his Aunt, Robin Winters.

He is survived by his parents Thomas Edward and Carol (Riesen) Chandler of Midland, his sister Cheryl Jeannette Hubbard, his daughter Savannah Noel of Oklahoma, nephew Cody Hubbard and niece Aurora Hubbard.  He is also survived by Aunts and Uncles Sue and Bob Adams, Kay and Tom Coleman, Terry and Dennis Terrell, and numerous cousins.  Also, surviving is his birth mother, Zonya Mora Jensen, and her family.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 am, July 10, 2021, in the chapel at Lange Funeral Home

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Dan’s honor.
