Damion Jon Shreve, 58, of Ballinger, Texas, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at his residence.
He was born on October 10, 1963, to Frank Herbert and Jeanette (Moreno) Shreve in San Diego, California. After graduating from high school, Damion went on to work as an aircraft mechanic and was fortunate to have worked with his father for many years. He was a remarkable artist and could craft beautiful works of art with almost anything. Damion could take random odds and ends and craft ornate and detailed things that he adorned his home with, from bird houses to a jackalope, he made it all. Besides his passion for working with his hands, he also enjoyed riding motorcycles and raising hell with his best friend, his brother.
Damion is preceded in death by his father Frank Herbert Shreve.
He is survived by his mother Jeanette, his sister Cathy Leonard of El Paso, Tx, sister Pam Shreve of Odessa, Tx, brother Mike Shreve and wife Diane of Ballinger, Tx, and sister Angela Hoyle and husband Lanny of Ballinger. Damion will also be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, and his dog Apollo.
A private gathering to celebrate his life will be held for Damion as he takes his last motorcycle ride to Ruidoso where his ashes will be placed at one of his favorite sites.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society of Ballinger in Damion’s honor.
The family wishes to thank Pauline Jones for all the kindness she had shown him over the years and the staff of Hospice of San Angelo for their impeccable care of Damion.
