Charlene Denise Harrison, 72, a beloved member of the Paint Rock community, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 31, 2024.
She was born on October 14, 1952, to Mel and Marie (Kinman) Bowman, in San Angelo, Texas. Charlene graduated from Mexia High School in 1971. In February 1972 she married Douglas Michael Harrison in Colorado City, Texas.
As a dedicated wife and mother she spent her days serving God, her family and others with kindness and grace. She was passionate about music and always looked forward to playing bass and singing with her father, nearby neighbors, family and her church. Charlene was a dedicated fisherman and loved going out on the lake or just sitting on a dock letting her husband, Mike, bait her hook.
Charlene is preceded in death by her father, Mel Bowman and mother Marie Bowman
Charlene is survived by her husband, Douglas Michael Harrison, her children, Amanda Staley, Amber McDougall, and D. Michael Harrison Jr. and her 15 grandchildren
Her loving husband, Michael Harrison, will forever cherish their memories together. Charlene's compassionate nature and selfless spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew her. A memorial service to celebrate Charlene's life will be held at Millersview Baptist Church at 3:00pm on Saturday, November 2, 2024. Family and friends are invited to join together to honor and remember the beautiful soul that Charlene was.
