Camille Badgett Denton, 58, of Ballinger, Texas passed away on Monday, February 21, 2022, in San Angelo, Texas. She was born on January 15, 1964, to James Earl and Linda Marie (Walter) Badgett in San Angelo, Texas. Camille married Kendall Denton on December 31st twice.
Camille’s passion was teaching. From being a school teacher to running her own daycare to the countless hours spent with her grandchildren who knew her as “Mima”, her legacy lives on in the memories of all the children whose lives she so greatly influenced.
Camille was also known for her “projects”. She had a knack for making the most mundane into something magical, whether it was her castle in a barn or her beautiful back porch that was always open to anyone needing a listening ear or a good laugh.
Camille is preceded in death by her grandparents, Jesse and Loda Badgett and Victor Walter, her father-in-law, Ronald Denton, sister-in-law, Ronda Briley, brother-in-law, Monty Briley, and uncle, Ed Harris.
Camille is survived by her husband, Kendall Denton, her children, Zane Denton and wife Michelle, Kael Denton, Paige Sanders and partner Santana, and Sterling Sanders and husband Seth, and stepdaughter Jamie Lee Denton, her 10 grandchildren: Colette, Driskell, Kye, Jack, Aeson, Seth, Olivia, Beckham, Charlotte, and Vivian, her grandmother, Ida Walter, parents, James and Linda Badgett, sisters, Connie Adams and Karla Williams, brother, James Badgett, Mother-in-law Shirley Denton, brother-in-law Kerwin Denton and many more aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends who became family.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, February 26, 2022, at ODHS Hall in Rowena, Texas from 2:00 to 4:00.
