Billie June Kresta

Billie June Kresta, 91, of Ballinger, Texas, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2019, at a local nursing facility.

June was born April 23, 1928, in Breckenridge to Andrew Jackson “Jack” and Ruby Mae Jones and graduated from Paint Rock High School in 1946.  She met Robert Kresta at the midnight movie in Ballinger, and they were married seven years later on June 27, 1950, in Lovington, New Mexico.  Robert preceded her in death December 30, 2008.  Before coming to Ballinger, the couple lived in Ft. Stockton for several years and were active members of the cowboy church there.  June was a homemaker, devoted to her Lord and her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, by a brother, Andrew Jackson Jones, Jr.

June is survived by her son, Dave Kresta and wife, Susie, of Ballinger, and granddaughter, Shaylynn Kresta of Odessa.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00 to 7:00 pm on Sunday, July 14, at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger.  A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 15, at 10:00 am at Evergreen Cemetery in Ballinger.
