Ben Sims Parrish, 93, of Ballinger passed away Monday, December 30, 2019, at Central Texas Nursing and Rehabilitation in Ballinger.
He was born September 28, 1926, to Thomas “Hugh” and Kathleen (Wheeless) Parrish. He honorably served his country during World War II in the Marine Corps. On March 17, 1956, he married Betty Middleton. Ben worked with Merchants Motor Line in Ballinger and Winters for many years. Upon retirement, he was able to follow his passion for ranching. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his brother Sonnie and sister in law Earlene Parrish.
Ben is survived by his wife, Betty; sons, Tommy and wife Lezlie of Lubbock, and Greg of Odessa; granddaughters, Alyssa Richardson and husband, Tyler, and Lexi Parrish; one great-granddaughter, Evelyn Richardson, all of Lubbock.
A graveside service will be at held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 2, at the Garden of Memories with a time of visitation to follow at Lange Funeral Home.
Donations may be made to a favorite charity.
