Barbara Gail Warren, 82, of Ballinger, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on January 3, 2026.
She was born on a cold February day, in Valera, Texas, on February 22, 1943, weighing only 3 pounds 10 ounces at home. No incubators, only a grandmother who placed her in a shoebox with heated water bottles and heated bricks on a wooden stove wrapped around the shoebox to keep her warm. She was a fighter from day one. The most patient and kind human being there was. She loved her family deeply and they loved her.
Barbara married the love of her life, Mike Warren on February 14, 1959, in Midland, Texas.
One of her favorite hobbies, from the time she was a small child was when her daddy would take her fishing, that experience stayed with her all of her life. She loved to fish and campout at the river as a family. She worked at the sewing factories and telephone industries, Electrospace, Halfmann Cleaners, and Central Texas Nursing Home as a cook. She was loved by all of her coworkers, I do believe. She never had a hurtful word for anyone and was always there to listen quietly, never judging.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Van Nathan Cude and Erma Williams Campbell, her son Glen Warren, her infant twin daughters Sharon and Karen Warren and her brothers, Bob Cude, David Campbell, and Gary Campbell.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Mike Warren; her daughter, Cindy Aguirre; her sisters, Marsha Cook and Nancy Plunk (Gene); sisters in law, Kay Cude, Linda Campbell, Peggy Page, Margaret Allcorn; brother in law, Bill Warren; grandchildren, Adrian Aguirre, Brittany Jenkins (Bryan), Nikki Wilson (David), Amy Manske (Jace); great grandchildren, Corbin Hill, Dylan Jenkins, Alexys Jenkins, Brennon Day, Landon Wilson, Braydon Wilson, Hayleigh Day, Kadie Wilson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Ballinger Home Health and Hospice in Barbara's memory.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Central Texas Nursing Home and Hospice of Ballinger for their tender love and care of Barbara.
