Antonio Diaz Jr., a cherished husband, devoted father, beloved son, and a true friend, passed away on October 10, 2023, at the age of 48. Born on April 28, 1975, in his hometown of Coleman, TX, Antonio brought joy, laughter, and love to all those around him.
Antonio, known to many as Nuno, was a man of simple pleasures and genuine compassion. He was a proud Texan and held his Hispanic heritage close to his heart, embracing his Mexican roots with pride as a Mexican American and Chicano. Outside of his family, Antonio had a passion for classic cars and proudly displayed his collection, impressing others with his knowledge and enthusiasm. As a lifelong fan, he cheered on the Dallas Cowboys, never missing a game. Antonio's infectious spirit and contagious laughter filled every room he entered, leaving a lasting impact on all those fortunate enough to know him.
Antonio was a welder at Mueller Supply. Antonio's unwavering love and loyalty extended beyond the workplace. He was a devoted family man, deeply devoted to his wife Jessica Tamez and their daughter Cristina Tamez. Together, they built a beautiful life in Ballinger, TX, where Antonio found solace and happiness in his role as a husband and father. His seven children brought immeasurable joy to his heart, and he held family gatherings close to his heart, especially enjoying the Sunday BBQs at his daughter's home.
Antonio's legacy will forever live on in the hearts of his loved ones. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Jessica Tamez, his sons, Jordan Tamez, Daniel Diaz, Antonio Diaz III, and Gabriel Diaz, his cherished daughters, Cristina Tamez, Stormy Diaz, Jaylissa Diaz, and Monica Trevino, his twenty-three grandchildren, who were the light of his life, and his loving mother, Rosalinda Prendez. As they navigate this time of grief, may they find strength and solace in the memories they shared together.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Lange Funeral Home.
