Anita L. Martinez

Anita L. Martinez, 89, of Ballinger passed away at her residence on Sunday, July 29, 2019.

She was born Sunday, June 8, 1930, to Felipe X. and Paula (Ramos) Lopez, in Robstown, Texas.  Anita married Fernando Martinez.  He preceded her in death on January 13, 1975.  She was a homemaker, where she loved raising her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was also a member of St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church.

She was proceeded in death by a daughter, Gloria Jaso.

Anita is survived by her sons, Fernando Martinez Jr. of Ballinger, Oscar and wife Maggie of San Angelo, Ray and wife Janie of Ballinger, Roger and wife Cynthia of Ballinger, Martin of Brownwood, Johnny and wife Juana of Winters, Joe and wife Jovita of Ballinger, Jesse and wife Vickie of Miles, and Michael of Ballinger; daughters, Dora and husband Juan Villarreal of Ballinger, Frances and husband Junior Quirino of Ballinger, Mary Lou and husband Gato (Erasmo) of Dublin; siblings, Jovita Galicia, and Robert Lopez;  numerous grand and great-grandchildren survive.

Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at Lange Funeral Home Chapel.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Thursday August 1, 2019, at St. Mary Catholic Church with burial following at Latin American Cemetery.
