Aaron Vigil, 79, of Ballinger, Texas, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 22, 2026.
He was born on October 17, 1946, to Marcello and Andrea (Riojas) Vigil in Nixon, Texas. Aaron was a hard-working man. He spent his years working as a welder for Mueller Supply Company. When he wasn’t working, even though he was the strong and silent type, he had a tight circle of dear friends that he spent his time with. He greatly enjoyed fishing and also spent his free time watching western movies, as well as boxing and UFC fights. Aaron also enjoyed Mexican food. Above all, he cherished his family deeply. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcello and Andrea Vigil, his sister Julia Beltran, and his brother Antonio Vigil.
Aaron is survived by his children, son Jamie Vigil, and daughter Melissa Vigil. He is also survived by his siblings, sisters Juanita Vigil, Apalonia Aguirre, and Sarah Torres, and his brother Leandro Vigil, as well as 3 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service for Aaron will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at 11:00 am at the Latin American Cemetery in Ballinger, Texas. Marty Akins will officiate.
The family would like to thank Hospice of San Angelo and the REHAB facility, as well as Shannon Hospital, for their tender love and care for Aaron.
