Eula Mae Adams Colmenero, age 88, of Ballinger, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2016, in Ballinger. She was born July 26, 1928, in Junction, Texas, to Ulice J. G. Adams and Mildred Alicia Elizabeth Babb Adams and was raised on the family ranch in what is now Big Bend National Park and later what was known as the Adams Ranch, neighboring the park. She is survived by her two daughters Mildred Ann Potter of Marathon, Texas and Katherine Elizabeth Rainey of San Angelo, Texas, her four grandchildren Kent Potter of Terlingua, Texas, Kellye Potter of Ballinger, Texas, Brandy Rainey-Amstel of Austin, Texas, and Clint Rainey of San Angelo, Texas; 2 great grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by 2 brothers, Apache Adams of Bronte, Texas and David Adams of Arlington, Texas. She was predeceased by both of her parents, 1 brother Delbert H. Adams, 1 son Pete M. Colmenero, Jr. and her late husband Pete M. Colmenero, Sr. of Sierra Blanca, Texas. After the death of her husband she moved back to her home town of Marathon, Texas and she will be buried in the Marathon Cemetery, date pending. There will be a Celebration of Life held in her memory in San Angelo at a later date. The family wishes any donations be made to the Meals for the Elderly in Ballinger, Texas in lieu of flowers, in her memory. Thank you from our family in advance to all those who so give.
