Wilburn “Butch” Pullin, 72, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2016, in San Angelo.
He was born July 20, 1943 to Troy and Mary (Machann) Pullin. Butch was a farmer his entire life, with a deep love for farming in his blood and in his heart. He served on the Ballinger Co-op board for 13 years and was a long-time member of the Young Farmers Association. Butch married Joyce Peterson on August 31, 1962 in Ballinger, Texas, and they shared 53 years together. He had a heart of gold which was most evident in how he took care of his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Chad Cooke; and great-granddaughter, Bella McDuffee.
Butch is survived by his wife, Joyce; daughter, Sherry McDuffee and husband, Dillard; son, David Pullin; his grandchildren, Amanda Morgan and Chris, Jason Cooke and Erica, Brian Pullin and Lynley, Eric McDuffee and Shannon, Chad McDuffee and Jaslyn, Amy McDuffee and Michael, and Ashley McDuffee: and 15 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is his brother, Glen, Pullin and wife, Miriam, and their children, Vlasta and Justin.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 2, at 10:00 am at the Glory Road Cowboy Church in Ballinger. There will be a private family burial.
