Althea Kay McKinney, 69, of Ballinger, Texas passed away Thursday, August 4, 2011 at her residence.
Kay was born May 7, 1942 in Ballinger. She graduated from Ballinger High School in 1960 and later became an efficient accountant.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence P. Harris; a brother, Harry Douglas Harris; a sister, Jean Williamas; and by her adoptive parents, R. E. and Tina Harris.
Kay is survived by a son, Terry McKinney, currently serving in Germany in the US Army, his wife, Lori, and two grandchildren. Other survivors include sisters, Helen Winchester and husband, Don, of Tye; Dean Phillips and husband, Ray, of Corsicana; and brother, Larry Harris of Temple.
